after release of the user guides.
The date format used throughout these files is: YYYY-MM-DD.
Contents
- Added device support for DS4830A, DS4834 and DS4835.
- The C-SPY OWL hardware debugger driver has been updated.
- Updated IAR XLINK Linker and library tools.
-
If you are using the DLIB library, we recommend that you take a look at the library
settings to see the new possibilities. Command line users also need to use new build
options. For detailed information, read the MAXQ
IAR Embedded Workbench Migration Guide.
-
Source code that was originally written for version 1.x of the MAXQ IAR C Compiler,
can, without any modifications, also be used with the compiler included in this package.
All segment names previously named DATA_suffix
have changed names to DATA16_suffix . This
requires that the linker command is updated accordingly.
-
Support for MAXQ10 cores was removed in version 2.30.

- Installation and license documents
Information about the installation and the license

documents.
General information
- License management system
A product installed with a QuickStart key will be usable
for 30 days. During this period the product(s) must be
registered with IAR in order to activate the license.
After registration a permanent key will be sent to you
which opens up the product(s) for which you have a valid
license. The product will be locked to the computer on
which it has been installed unless a License Server or
dongle is used. A stand-alone license can be tranfered to
a different PC by using the license transfer
functionality. For more information, see Installation and license
activation above.
- Tutorial workspace
The tutorial workspace, that is included in the
Embedded Workbench, assumes that debugger support is
installed. If you choose to open the tutorial workspace,
without having installed one or both of the debuggers, a
message will inform you that an unknown tool is found.
You will, however, be able to compile and link the
tutorial projects.
