Highlights

  • Improved support for external memory
    Adds support for customized external flash devices directly in the Security Context editor, additional software update areas in both internal and external memory locations, and GUI-based management of all memory usage.

  • Cloud support
    The Security Context wizard supports configuring Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services enabled products. A user guide and example applications are provided as reference information.

  • Alternative toolchain support
    Application development in NXP MCUXpresso is now supported via the Secure Application Maker Tool. This can be used in conjunction with a Secure Boot Manager and a Security Context generated with Embedded Trust in IAR Embedded Workbench.

  • Secure Boot Manager boot integrity checking
    The required level of application integrity checking within the SBM can be configured in the Security Context editor.

  • New related tool: OrBIT (see below)
